Human Rights for Vietnam PAC,
SBTN and Viet Tan
Firstly, I would like to thank you all for your useful information and
suggestions over recent weeks. They have served as the basis for the RFA’s
Legal Department to initiate the investigation.
Besides seeking justice for murdered journalists, including my father,
Dam Phong, I believe that we are contributing to cleansing the RFA, helping it
fulfill its roles and missions as assigned by the Congress to promote freedom
and democracy in Vietnam .
Although RFA is carrying out internal administrative investigation
against Nguyen Van Khanh and involved subordinates, the fact that RFA is
seriously captured by a foreign political party requires a criminal
investigation by the federal government. There are two reasons for this: tax
fraud and intent to defraud and degeneracy in general. Earlier this week I have
sent a document with several evidence to request the U.S. Internal Revenue
Service to join the investigation. This is not the case of individual tax fraud
but a whole organization with the intent of tax evasion may be involved.
Previously, Hoang Co Minh’s Front was once investigated for tax fraud.
Regarding the second reason, the information I have received suggests
that Viet Tan has conspired to capture RFA through individuals and peripheral
organizations or alliances. To build a strong case against it, I have been
searching for information on Viet Tan’s relations with some individuals and
organizations.
Many have told me about some activities in which Viet Tan has coordinated
with SBTN. Apart from joint appearance in public meetings, SBTN and Viet Tan
have also developed secretive relations. One such connection is the Human
Rights for Vietnam PAC. However, SBTN’s video clips on Youtube or news related
to this organization have mostly been deleted in recent time.
To collect the deleted information, I hope I can receive your
assistance in providing news or pictures on the following activities:
